The Wyoming Arabian Horse Association is member of the Arabian Horse Association, and is a service to anyone who owns, breeds, shows, or loves Arabian horses.

The June Class A show will be May 30, 31 and June 1, 2008 at the State Fairgrounds in Douglas. We are trying every way possible to save money putting on this show. Barb Arkin has hired our judge for the show. He is Bob Gordon of Minnesota and he is very highly recommended. He is willing to drive to Wyoming, which will save WAHA some money. The Region has decided not to put out the Omnibus this year, so WAHA will be sending out our own premium books and we will have show information on the website. The WAHA premium books will not contain information for other shows in the region. We are planning to apply for the USEF grant and the Region VI scholarships again 2008.

Entry Forms are AVAILABLE NOW via the web please click here or go to the FORMS page.

The ACS at Hugus’ arena in Pavillion has been scheduled for May 10th and the Casper ACS is May 17. There will be a show put on by the Montana club in Rapid City the first weekend in May to see how everything goes in preparation for the Regionals being in Rapid City for the first time in 2008.

Region VI Championship will be June 19-22 in Rapid City, SD, preceded by a preshow on June 18th.  The premium book is on the Region 6 website which can be accessed through the AHA website.  There will be working cow and cutting classes at the Regional Championship Show.  Marjorie is in charge of photography aids for the Championships on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and hopes to get the senior judging team to work in shifts during the show.  Region VI will provide a complimentary room for Marjorie and the girls.

The next WAHA meeting will be Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Steve Hugus HAAP Arena immediately after lunch during the ACS, at approximately 12:30 PM.  There are so many activities coming up and we hope to have something for everyone to enjoy.  Does anyone have any suggestions for fundraisers?  Any special activities you would like to do?  Please come share with us and enjoy Steve’s show.  This is the last meeting and newsletter until September.  Everyone is so busy during the summer that we take a little break.  There will be updates and reminders of WAHA happenings sent throughout the summer.
